The Grand Ballroom of the Marriott World Center in Orlando was the setting for Jon Matcheson and Bridgett Freeman of Dur-A-Flex, Inc. to collect the Excellence in Innovation Award at the Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) National Conference. The objective of the event held on May 2-5, 2010 was to address the organization's continued focus on helping companies become more profitable and address their desire to ensure the success of the manufacturing sector in the future.

The MEP Excellence in Innovation award celebrates the success of MEP clients and recognizes those who made significant impacts on the national MEP system. The individuals or groups nominated have demonstrated an innovative commitment to business growth within the manufacturing industry.

Dur-A-Flex captured the award from a consortium of nominees from across the United States for the company's University Contractor Academy program. The Dur-A- Flex Contractor Academy program mirrors the theme of the conference in that it focuses on helping customers become more profitable and shows them ways to propel their business into a more stable and profitable future.
