Job: Machinery Systems Maintenance Technician

Job Summary:

The Machinery Systems Maintenance Technician is a “Hands-on” systems technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, modify and test complex technical equipment systems.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Systems Maintenance

  • Control work
  • Operating Interfaces
  • Electrical and mechanical systems
  • Document management for Electrical, Mechanical and Infrastructure
  • Technical Resource for equipment failure
  • Determination of root cause failures and alleviation of issues on equipment

Systems Installation

  • Installation of equipment
  • Design and manage new equipment process development, timing, budget, setup, debug and training.
  • SOP’s for NEW equipment and Systems
  • Document management for Electrical, Mechanical and Infrastructure

Systems Design/re-Design

  • System re-engineering to meet manufacturing requirements
  • Document management for Electrical, Mechanical and Infrastructure up-grades

3S/Safety

  • Follows 3S methodology for Facilities Department
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Member Incident Response Team(IRT)
  • Safety plant wide – Near Miss Reporting

Administration/Continuous Improvement

  • Work Order Response
  • Assistance in the development of continuous improvement initiatives
  • Become the Process Expert. Primary contact for Manufacturing, regarding equipment and process issues, including (but not limited to) equipment downtime and production of nonconforming material

Minimum Education, Experience, and/or Skills Required:

  • 2 year technical degree
  • Certifications in technical aspect of maintenance (hydraulics, control circuits, electrical etc.)
  • Demonstrated Electrical and Mechanical Expertise
  • Project management Experience
  • Comprehensive understanding of Preventative & Predictive Maintenance
  • Working knowledge of TPM
