Dur-A-Flex Expands Operations, Relocates Distribution Center in Illinois

October 16, 2019

Dur-A-Flex, Inc., a leading manufacturer of commercial, industrial and institutional resinous floor and wall systems, is once again expanding its operations, this time in the Midwest, relocating from their current facility in Bensenville to a 15,000 square-foot facility in Roselle, IL. The facility officially opened for business October 1, 2019.

President and Chief Operating Officer Peter V. Ferris stated, “The Midwest is a major, growing area and our decision to upgrade our distribution capabilities is in line with our continued growth.” According to a recent report by Global Market Insights, the North American flooring market is expected to witness growth over 5% up to 2024. Regional driving factors for this include growth in the construction industry and increased investment in restoration of deficient structures. In addition to supporting growth, the new facility will ensure ease of doing business with Dur-A-Flex. “The Roselle location offers easy access to customers for expedited delivery and same day pickup of our quality products,” says Ferris.

The new facility offers ample space for Dur-A-Flex’s vast product inventory of floor and wall systems, a Design Center showcasing thousands of product samples, an expanded space for the Applicator Training Program and a dedicated staff including Sales Territory Managers, Technical Service, Shipping & Receiving and Customer Service.

The resinous flooring industry is seeing a rising demand in commercial and industrial applications. Pharmaceutical, education, healthcare, automotive, food and beverage manufacturing and transportation industries are huge drivers in this growth. With this increased demand Dur-A-Flex is seeing a rise in applicants for the Applicator Training Program (ATP). The ATP is a comprehensive training course designed to train new installers on Dur-A-Flex flooring systems or refine the skill sets of current customers and installers.

“Thanks to all of our amazing Midwest customers, we have outgrown our current distribution center. I’m excited about this new facility, which is newer, larger, and provides a much improved space for training new contractors in our Applicator Training Program,” says Patrick J. Meade, Vice President of Sales and Technical Support.
