Dur-A-Flex, Inc., a leader in commercial, industrial and institutional seamless/high performance polymer flooring and wall systems and the only manufacturer to be included on this year’s list of Best Places to Work in Connecticut, is once again expanding its operations, this time in the Midwest.
President and Chief Operating Officer Peter V. Ferris recently signed a lease for a 11,000 square-foot facility at 200 William Street, Bensenville, Illinois. This facility marks the third Dur-A-Flex location for the manufacturer whose focus is on providing cost and time savings for the company and its customer base.
“Our decision to develop a third Dur-A-Flex facility in the Midwest is on target with our continued focus on organic growth, our commitment to quality and our drive for continuous improvement with operating efficiencies,” says Ferris. “Our presence in the Chicago area will enable our Midwest customers to receive the same superior sales and service assistance as our East and West Coast customers receive,” he concludes.
The new facility will offer space for Dur-A-Flex’s product inventory, a design center showcasing floor samples and a dedicated staff including Midwest Sales Representatives, Technical Support and Customer Service. A Shipping and Receiving department will expedite product shipments and facilitate same day order and product pick-ups by regional customers. Additionally, Dur-A-Flex’s contractor partners will have a third venue to choose from when attending the Applicator Training Program, training designed to elevate quality-focused project assessment and product installation.
Patrick J. Meade, Vice President, Sales and Technical Support adds, “Increasing demand fueled by our sales efforts in the Midwest has made this strategic location necessary. Our continued, sustainable growth in operations and additions to our sales and technical personnel allows us to expand our field presence in support of our best partners. Combine that with the ability of our Chicago-based customers to expedite project timelines with same-day, product pick-up setting them up for success and increasing profitability on their job sites,” Meade concludes.
Named one of the “Best Places to Work in CT” for the fifth time by the Hartford Business Journal-sponsored awards program, Dur-A-Flex, Inc. is a privately-held, leading manufacturer of quality epoxy, urethane, methyl methacrylate and colored aggregates offering a complete line of high performance polymer flooring and wall systems.
