Dur-A-Glaze # 4 Regular hardener, Dur-A-Glaze # 4 Fast hardener and Dur-A-Glaze # 4 Water Clear hardener can all be used with Dur-A-Glaze #4 resin, Dur-A-Glaze #4 Cove-Rez and Shop Floor resin. It is important to understand how they affect working and cure time.
Regular is the standard hardener for Dur-A-Glaze #4. It can be used for broadcast coats and grout coats. It is a hardener is a good option for optimal working time throughout temperatures of 60°F – 90°F. At 70 degrees, it gives the crew 20 minutes working time and an 8 hour cure.
Fast hardener is a great option to use for broadcast coats in cooler temperatures or when attempting to install two broadcasts in one day. It is also a great option for patching. (Do not use it for grout coats.)
Water Clear hardener is used for grout coats over chip or quartz broadcasts. It is also a terrific option when installing the ReFLEXions systems. At 70 degrees, it gives the crew 30 minutes working time and a 12-14 hour cure. It will give the crew the most working time, especially in warmer temperatures. Expect extended cure times below 70 degrees.
