Detailing Drains with a Grinding Wheel

September 10, 2018

Whether installing a highly decorative floor, or a heavy-duty functional floor, every experienced contractor knows “it’s all in the details.” For a clean, flush, professional looking finish, detailing the drains is a must. To save time, consider using a diamond router bit for the initial grind. These types of bits are designed for profiling edges on granite, quartz, porcelain and concrete. Available in #40-#50 grit, the threaded arbor fits angle grinders and works well for quickly creating a semi-flush, feathered and beveled edge prior to precise detailing with a 4” grinding wheel.
