A mil is a thousandth of an inch — .001 inch. It is a typical manufacturing dimension. We specify the thickness of our floors as mils or inches. This quick guide shares common conversions for mils to inches and mils per square feet/gallon.
Note: Coverage for 100% Solids Systems. If material contains solvent, thickness will be reduced by the same % as the solvent loss.

1/2 inch = 500 mils
