Perform the surface prep in the morning while the slab temperature is rising. As the concrete temperature heats up, it pushes air out. Applying the primer while the slab is heating up will push air through the coating during the cure which increases the likelihood for outgas bubbles.
In order to minimize the potential for outgas bubbles, apply the primer once the slab has reached its peak temperature for the day. As the concrete is cooling down, it will draw the primer into the slab sealing the pores and minimizing outgas bubbles.
Note: There is no guaranteed way to prevent outgassing – this is intended only as a possible way to minimize the chances.
