Dur-A-Wall HP Further Strengthens Dur-A-Flex's Seamless Suite
East Hartford, Conn. (April 29, 2016) – Dur-A-Flex, Inc., a leading manufacturer of commercial, industrial and institutional resinous floor and wall systems, has released Dur-A-Wall HP (High Performance), a high performance wall system. Dur-A-Wall HP is offered as a part of their Seamless Suite solution, offering flooring and wall coatings designed to meet the rigorous demands of healthcare environments. With its excellent chemical resistance properties and extreme scrubbing durability, Dur-A-Wall HP lasts up to 10 times as long as traditional wall paints. This highly durable wall coating paired with Dur-A-Flex’s Accelera Fast-Track flooring systems deliver a seamless floor to wall surface – a strong weapon in the battle against bacteria and infection.
“The healthcare field is changing rapidly and the dedication to providing a healing environment for patients lasts long beyond the architect’s original plans,” says Peter V. Ferris, Dur-A-Flex’s President and Chief Operating Officer. “Re-painting walls and renovating floors bi-annually affects patient care and negatively impacts a facility’s annual budget. We’re happy to offer a solution to the market that will eliminate these headaches” he concludes.
The latest advancements in sanitizing and disinfecting practices in healthcare facilities have taken a toll on standard wall-paints and coverings. Unable to withstand the harsh cleaners, such as vaporized hydrogen peroxide (VHP), those coatings are discoloring, peeling and wearing thin. Dur-A-Wall HP was designed to withstand VHP as well as other constant, harsh cleaning practices which benefits healthcare establishments in both the well-being of their patients as well as their bottom line.
Dur-A-Wall HP wall coatings are available in 15 standard solid colors in three finishes and can be color-matched to meet any facility color standard. Accelera floor systems are offered in Dur-A-Flex’s standard decorative vinyl chip and quartz blends and unlimited custom blends, making this line a go-to option for architects and interior designers as well.
